The Author - Joshua Batchelder

A retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Colonel, Josh Batchelder has logged over 5,000 hours of flying time, earning three different sets of silver wings—first as a Radar Observer (RO), flying in All-Weather Jet Fighter-Interceptors (Lockheed Starfire F-94Bs & Cs, then in Northrop F-89D Scorpions) for Air Defense squadrons based in Labrador, Canada, Washington State, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. While completing a degree in Social and Personality Psychology at Harvard, he flew for the Massachusetts and New Hampshire Air National Guard units. More training and a second set of wings as an Air Navigator prepared him to fly world-wide missions for ten years, including several to Vietnam, with the 116th Military Airlift Wing of the Georgia Air National Guard (C-97 & C-124 transports). He became Wing Navigator.  Completing 30 years of Air Force duty, his last assignment in the active Air Reserve was as a Reserve Assistant Officer (Liaison) to the Georgia Wing of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP). He conducted Flight Clinics and supported Aerospace Education programs for programs at the Universities of Georgia and Tennessee. Following active service, he became a volunteer in the Georgia CAP, earning his third set of wings as an instrument-rated private pilot, and flew search and rescue missions while serving as an Aerospace Education Officer.

In civilian life, Josh became a multi-year Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) producer and Investment Advisor associated with Resource Horizons Group, LLC Broker/Dealer, Marietta, Georgia. In 1976, he completed training and was certified as a graphoanalyst (handwriting analyst). For four major cruise lines, he entertained onboard audiences with talks and demonstrations. This led to publication of his first book, Handwriting Reveals You (2003), and three years later to publishing of Personality Profiling in 90 Seconds: A 15-Point Guide for Quick Handwriting Analysis.

Josh is father to four adult children and seven grandchildren, plus the three children and five grandchildren he acquired some ten years ago, upon his marriage to Betty Ann Sage — the "wise one." Betty Ann and Josh live in Atlanta as co-owners of one remaining "child" who has them on a leash—Kelly, a miniature Schnauzer.
